Haven't done much in the last pair of trips, over four days. Just some medium-sized (24") bluefish. I was trolling in about 25 feet of water around North Bar. There weren't the concentrations of bait that I'd seen before all the weather moved through the area, and I'm still seeking that elusive August cow, but I'm glad to be seeing more bluefish and fewer sharks recently.

I've heard MTK action on all fronts has been very spotty. If you hit it you're in luck, but lots of folks are taking very long rides to get skunked...

The tuna fishing offshore of Montauk has been very good. My son is offshore today on my boat. He fished a 1/2 day mid-shore tuna trip on Wednesday and nailed a beautiful 126 pound bluefin, 2 20-30 pounders, released another that size, and his misfit friends lost a bunch more. As for other fish, around the Point, the bottom is paved, as usual, with porgies. SW Ledge has plenty of keeper sea bass. Sharking is excellent pretty close in. And we'll see how the edge is later this evening when my son gets back with my boat. Fluking, by the way, sucks.
