Six "Smith Barney" fish this AM, I earned them. The redeeming feature was 3 of them were feisty 24 inchers...
Breaking pods were scattered and brief, ended up playing aquatic "Whack A Mole", trying to anticipate they'd pop up next. After getting 2 that way, I ended up doing the blocking and tackling basic techniques of going to tide appropriate spots and checking them out.
For the new Striper Attraction Technique, I've noticed of late that when I position the boat in "Good Spots" and fish hard and long enough to be convinced there's nothing there, starting the engine causes any fish in the immediate area to startle and leave a swirl on the surface. I immediately shut down and cast a popper into the disturbance and went 2 for 2 with that today.
Oh well, striper fishing is a constant learning experience...
