Smithtown Bay Fluke

I've fished the past few days outside the Nissequogue and to my surprise there has been a showing of a good number of fluke. Mostly shorts with the occasional keeper. We can only hope that there will be a bigger wave.

I've been using straight gulp on a bucktail. No bait at all. My friend had a 22 incher with a gulp tipped with spearing.

Most boats are fishing the deeper drops but I've been hugging the beach. There's lots of bait there.
