I was fortunate to be invited on a buddy's boat Sunday to try and catch some fluke. We gave buoy 11 (Pt. Jeff) a shot (even jigged for bass a little) however, though marking plenty of bait the fishing was sub par. Our Capt. Adam made the choice to head west and we soon rounded Cranes Neck and cruised into the bay. We found plenty of fish but nothing big enough for the box. The Sea Robins were on the large side and when you set up on them it felt like hooking into a cinder block lol. Short fluke to 18" and plenty of robins made for a very enjoyable day. Cudos to Adam for making some great choices and keeping us on fish all day!! Loads of sand eels and short fluke, can't wait to see if the next body of fish have a little more size mixed in. Great job Capt.!
