My guy remaining on his Purina select blend.

We gave him a few pieces of Duck Donuts yesterday and some Fried Chicken, he was up and out several times last night in the Wee hours.

LoL, he was back to normal today

Yes... We are usually very good about what he gets for treats and eats however this guy has been a bit spoiled since loosing his brother.
We thought we were devastated about it but also realize he was even more depressed.

We are keeping him to a a regular routine ( which is tough missing one) - but have been also spoiling Him with extras treats and table food.
We will capture a new routine for our old guy and keep him Healthy.

How is Max?

doing ok - depends on the day - really starting to show his age

• going grey in the face
• arthritis in one front leg
• getting weak in the back legs as well - especially the one that the ACL blew up on a year or two ago - vet said that might happen - if he comes in wet from the weather & go to dry him off doesn't take much pressure to "drop" (for lack of a better word) his back half down - was "rough housing " it with him the other night & when I pushed him back & away I forgot about his hindquarters & he went down like a ton of bricks - felt really bad

He can however still give varmints a good chase. Just can't chase 'em for a long time.
No longer able to catch rabbits...................

Good boy... Good Dad.... you take good care of him.

I would hold my black lab up with his tail while I dried him, LoL. It worked.

He also would fall down while drying.

Sad but Funny to remember now.

is that enough? I remember my vet telling me that they need 2k calories a day, 2 breast are 590 calories. They need two of those chickens fed a day.
Are you adding rice or any veggies?

everyone is different, sure they are more than cared for and Fed with you as there Daddy
