We beat Uconn twice and they are playing in Philly
SJU to San Diego.

Look at the bracket from Dukes perspective
They are the supposed overall #1 seed
Their bracket has SJ’s, UCONN, Kansas, Michigan State and UCLA who everyone is high on as a 7
How is that fair as an overall 1 seed?

That said, 3 years ago it felt like UCONN got totally snubbed and got a 4 seed in a brutal bracket with no chance
They went on an epic run and blew everyone away and won it all

If you wanna be the champ, you gotta beat the best. Lets see what happens

You make it sound as if Duke has to play all those teams. They don't!

While SJU has to play 2.road games as a #5 seed.

I'm any event, Northern Iowa is the only team SJU needs to worry about!

OK, since you didn’t like the last one, here’s the reality of it all

St Johns had a great year by their standards
They had a great record. They won the Big East regular season and had a big win in the Big East Championship
They beat UCONN twice!!

But they also lost to UCONN in horrible fashion. They went almost an entire half without scoring a basket
They lost all early season games against out of conference opponents
They beat no high rated teams other than UConn
They have no history of long term success
They were not getting higher than a 4 seed with that resume

Miami of Ohio had 1 loss in the last game of the season and barely made the tournament as a low seed

If the Johnnies are as good as they appear to be playing right now, go prove it

I may have mentioned it before, a good friend of my son is on the St Johns Pep Band and is a senior now. The band is making the trip to San Diego and he is on cloud nine and all psyched up.
