Tobay beach took significant beach damage after the last two days. Ocean parkway is in danger if something isn’t done soon, eventually Mother Nature will win

Saw the News 12 team along Ocean Parkway early this morning.

Ocean Pkwy has been a problem for some time even before Sandy (which was 10+yrs ago)

Rockaway and Long Beach have reinvested since Sandy but the area between Jones field 6 and RM has been untouched.

I guess dredging on the East end is more of a priority.

I planted dune grass on the very top of a dune at Tobay Saturday. The grass is gone and so is the dune. No breeches I am aware of but reports are saying that the view of the ocean is no longer obstructed by those pesky dunes. I believe the pavillion has water under it at high tide. Will it be condemned ?

One good storm and sad to say but that building will be a stick pile. The water washing under it everyday can’t be good

just a matter of a little time, an east wind, and another high tide...
Edited to add:
New moon on the 8th (solar eclipse !) everything will be in alignment.
