I celebrated my 35 th year anniversary doing just what I love with the one I love. What started out as a relaxing day on the water. You boat fisherman know what happens next. You have to bring a few rods and bait “just in case” and the next thing you know you’re packing up to go fishing.
So I played it down like I was just taking in the sites. We saw a few Osprey actually hanging out with a mature bald eagle. We also saw deer and a turtle.
When we got outside I subconsciously took aim at a drift that had produced may times in years past. But not in the past few years. She was chilling and I Immediately hooked up. Just shy but very encouraging. The next thing so know she’s putting on the Gulp.
There were more fluke there than I’ve seen in years. We had two keepers and s great bite until the tide dropped out.
