Tekota 500

Hey Pete

I noticed one of my Tekota 500’s was acting funky lately mainly on free spool when letting out line. Yesterday it completely failed and got stuck and needed pressure to move

Just opened it up on work bench and found the smaller plastic gear missing a couple of teeth. Pretty sure thats the culprit

Ya think anybody keeps that in stock or should I go right to Shimano??

Just went to my local B&T who told me good luck finding parts on Shimano products not made in last 5 years

Went to shimano.com and gears still available

I still have a pair of 500's I use regularly and have not had any problems getting parts form Shimano. You should be receiving your order soon.
