the movie you just rented/went to see/or just saw "Recommend or Not Recommend It" thread

Hard to believe it opened 40 years ago today...I've got the DVD somewhere, one of my favorites.

"but there is one thing that we all have in common: we were all stupid enough to enlist in the Army.”

‘On da box’

7.5/10

Good acting, fills in some of the back stories for some of the character.
I did enjoy how the made us hate Uncle Junior even more.

I didn't like that Uncle Junior was the character Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) from Showtime's "Billions".

if you're a Beatle fan - hell if you're a music fan you must watch this....

Brings the creative process into view.
Full iconic rooftop concert.
Completely rewrites the ending to the greatest band of the 20th century.

Binged all 3 Parts in two nights.
On occasion my eyes leaked a bit.
Brought back sooooo many memories.
You see iconic songs we all know being created & brought to life.

Just rememebr - none of them were even in their 30's yet.

If you have surround sound via your TV - turn it on - LOUD!!

Availablle only on Disney+.

I just may rewatch the whole 7 or 8 hours of this again........

Hard to believe these events took place 52 years ago. I remember it all like it was yesterday (no pun intended).

Saw some footage on 60 Minutes a few weeks ago, the film quality was really good.
it's amazing - and not only the picture quality - but the audio.
Both completely cleaned up.
Peter Jackson & his crew are to be commended for a job well done....
8-)

I don't know if you ever saw the original try at this (Let It Be) back in the day - but this is so far superior in both audio & video & the way the story is told.

I underatand that there will be a DVD release of this. I'm in if they do.
