After about 2 months of trying to breathe new life into an old laptop, I finally gave up today and bought a new one.

Why delay so long? Because I know it will take me a good week before I get all files and programs ported over to this new one and working. Other than draining my liquor cabinet to help get through this process, I'm starting to really like this unit, especially because of its speed.

Let's see if the honeymoon continues long enough to get it totally setup or I'll be fed up enough to just return it...

I begrudgingly accept Windows 10 on my Laptop, but definitely prefer Windows 7 on my Desk Top. Still hesitant on moving to 10. If I could roll back time I would go with XP, fond memories. Having said all that, I probably spend 95% of my computer time on my iPad, it lives on the floor next to my Recliner.

Once I learned to make the 8s and 10 look like 7, they're all good, but I do agree that 7 still has a fond place in my heart. XP was a fine OS too. God forbid I make my desktop look like an Apple Stand!!

Just got back from adding another "Classroom" to the Roccus School for Wayward Hard Shell Clams. The clam flats are a long, muddy slog from my place and I'd like to show the granddaughters how to dig clams during their visit this summer. At 6 & 4, they'd probably be bored before we walked there, so I decided to put some clams right by the dock. Will dig up a bunch at the flats on the April Full Moon and move them over too.

While down there I checked a few classrooms I put in last year, hoping to find some tiny clams showing spawning success, but no joy. At least I have a long-term storage solution...
