The never ending chat thread, chat about anything That your up too

I would of turned around no haircut worth that
Hold up. Time out. I didn’t drive that far for a haircut. ARE YOU INSANE!!!! My wife is a hairstylist, she cuts my hair. I was referring to driving all that because i have to supervise this project we are doing. Check progress and what not. The FAA building on Stewart Ave in Garden City.

Sheesh Frank, if that was your "Haircut Commute" I'd refer you to the punchline of a joke about the training of the first wave of Kamikaze pilots, "Are you flucking NUTS???"
AGAIN, i didn’t commute that for a haircut. Only thing I’m driving that far for is fishing and if my wife is stranded and that’s a maybe too. ??‍♂️....

Many things I miss about LI/NYC BUT the traffic is NOT on that list...

Yes Yes , we Know.

Give it a rest already.
We understand you are not clear about what times are best to travel on local busy roads and what it is like for those who may still have too, for whatever reason.

Jeez, for a Super Smart Guy you really get latched on too tightly to simple problems.

Sorry, I got JACKED up on this a bit.

?‍♂️

LOL, I'm painfully aware of "good travel times", but as the years pass it seems that on notoriously busy roads in the greater NYC area like the BQE, those "good times" are like 02:00 - 04:30 and even that window is shrinking.

Case in point I had multiple trips for business in Northern NJ a few years ago, and was staying in a hotel in Englewood, right off of RT 4, no more than 5 miles for the GW Bridge. Did I ever use the I-95 route to get down there??? HELL NO!! Used the Tappan Zee, 9W "shunt" instead. However on the day I was to return to Maine I couldn't sleep so when I saddled up at 04:00 I figured I might as well bite the bullet at take the direct route, GW Bridge to I-95 and then head North in New Haven. It was a dream ride, getting to New Haven in an hour and 15 minutes. That same trip 3 hours later would have taken hours.

So yes, if you live in that area, you have to schedule trips around the traffic. I just feel sorry for those of you that have to endure it day after day in getting to and from work. Of course, you've factored all of that into you quality of life equations. I've been lucky in that I've always avoided daily commutes of less than 20 min no matter where I lived, an important factor in my quality of life equation...
