My fishing trips will be far and few between. Salt water fishing the weather has to be perfect above 40 degrees no wind and no moon tides. Freshwater the temperature has to be above 40 and no ice on the lake. I might go fishing at kissena tomorrow high near 60 degrees. I went to kissena yesterday and there was thin ice some parts and very thick Ice on others. And no ice on parts so after the rain and rising temps it should thraw out. Had a great fall run of striped bass. Probably the best i ever had in my lifetime. Fluke I only had one keeper on my diamond jig. I did catch alot of fluke but all shorts. Seabass was ok not one of the best years. Lots of shorts.

I really enjoyed the one blackfish trip I did on the Laura lee. caught a ton of fish and had dinner that night. Going to target them more often.

About two weeks ago, I dropped off one of the kids on my bus . The Grandfather was there to pick him up. I thought to myself ( damn this guy looks familiar). Well today he was there again, and it clicked. I said hey your Doug right? He said yes. I said nice meeting you and went on my way. I as many of you spent the past 36 years watching him on News 12. Definitely one of the best guys on that station .
