Once you remove the shift selector cap there is a metal T- shaped shim you pry out then unscrew the knob

went to planet fitness today with my daughter. 30 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes on free weights nothing heavy just for cardio and get the old heart pumping

Not a doctor,however, I might suggest your friend check his/her diet or nerves. But considering the author, I would say your friend has his/her ass over his/her head so far that its blocked all bodily functions and resulted in significant damage to internal organs. Very likely suffering from a serious case of TDS. Not much of a cure for that one. Gonna get worse before it gets better. Wish them the best from all of us here.

do X-ray to confirm blockage.
