And if that water comes up as expected, there will be road closures. We were supposed to be in PA for a sweet sixteen today. I pulled that plug last night night. You get stuck on a flooded road, there is no backing up!

The Cross Island Parkway is notorious for flooding along the stretch from Northern Blvd heading north to Throgs Neck & Whitestone Bridges. Especially in the area of the Bayside Marina.

It is a violent sport and folks are competitive. Doing what he was taught probably as a 7 year old. Kid coming into his own not fully understanding his strength without a fully developed mind. Looks like a flag was thrown. Needs some reinforcement from his coach.

Kids going full force hitting head to head even accidentally much worse than getting thrown to the ground.

Think about that one. Yet football programs do not get eliminated.

I hit the link it took me to another story, a heartwarming story about a good kid playing at LSU.

So I did not see the video with the “big hit”. That said, knowing today about all the injuries associated with football, if I had a son he wouldn’t be playing. Golf, baseball, tennis or track & field, yes, no problem.

Well, he certainly shouldn't have been taught bad sportsmanship and that kind of disrespect to his fellow players from the age of 7. I guess nobody, no parent, no coach, no friend taught him any self-discipline.

And how'd that body slam thing work out for Jim McMahon?

Football and the NFL are being attacked for the brain injuries. Particularly for ignoring and denying the problem. So this kind of behavior justifies the argument that the sport is violent and dangerous.

He's got these tremendous physical gifts and the IQ of a Neanderthal. If he can't manage not to pretend he's in the WWE he's a detriment to the sport. BTW, Hofstra doesn't have a football program anymore. So they can be eliminated. Given enough bad PR it becomes more likely.

It was just for empty tractor trailers . But nobody checks. So I guess you only get in trouble if the wind blows you over
