Much better overall effort than game 1 for a huge 3-1 win. Bailey and eberle have really stepped up. Lehner has been great. Love Nelson and Mayfield not taking any crap from Malkin in the last seconds. So pumped right now. LGI!!

Congrats to the Islanders on their 1st round sweep of the Pens!! Unreal what a real GM, top coach and staff can do for an organization. The team has bought into the system implemented by the staff.
3 reasons they won. 1st the Isles completely shut down the Pens in particular the Crosby line. 2nd Isles got scoring from their top 2 lines in particular Eberle, Nelson and Bailey. 3rd Lehner completely outplayed Murray.
Looking forward to round 2 hopefully Boychuk and Clutterbuck and ok and can play if not next man up. Let's Go Islanders!

New season pretty much same team except for Varlamov replacing Lehner. Want to see more of Dobson but defense is playing well. Team is a very respectable 8-3 including winning 7 in a row. Unreal what a real coach and coaching instill in a team. They are always prepared to play the games and unlike previous coaches this team has learned how to handle leads. Couple more days off till a tough game with Tampa.

We have our work cut out for us with all these injuries though. And as much as I hate long breaks like this it should help rest some of less severely injured guys.

Islanders are looking great! They are playing their same game as last year with big defense and good goal tending. Varlamov has looked very solid in his last few games. Probably just shaking off the jitters of being new. Barzal is coming into his own. 9 points in seven games? Their offense if really looking good! Come on boys the isles are for real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Trotz! ............. Oh isn't that what we used to yell for Brian Trottier???

I thought the first period of last nights game against the Capitals was sloppy. But they really turned it up in the 2nd and came away with a 8-4 win ?

Huge game tonight at the Coliseum as Isles have a chance to eliminate the very good Penguins. Gotta keep riding Sorokin and hope the PP and Barzal can chip in something in Game 6 to move on. Not gonna be easy we will see. I'll be there rooting for them. LGI!
