Nice to have my 300 or so CDs in a box in the crawl space, but all the music available to me at home and on 64 GB USB drives in both cars.

Haven't counted them - but I have 'em all in a wall unit I built between the kitchen & the living room - just walk over - browse through 'em (in alphabetical order) - pick out what I want & load 'em up............

This is some of them. Another few dozen scattered around the place, in my two vehicles. in the two 6-disc players & in the BOCES player in the dining room. I like having the physical copies. It's like being in a bookstore.

This is the full "wall unit" I built a year or so ago. Had a dead wall & needed to do something with it. Put a piece of granite on the top for a bill paying, laptop, breakfast/eating area.

Think it might be a sale.
It's shrink wrapped so you really can't see it - but - my boat mechanic (who everybody seems to know & respect down here) gave it a glowing review.

He did a drive by yesterday - saw him sitting at the curb near my driveway when I turned onto the block day before yesterday. He pulled away as I approached. Didn't know it was him until I talked to him later that day when he called.

Told him it was wrapped.
"That's OK. Joshua (that's my mechanic - lot of biblical names down here but that's a topic for the Chronicles thread) said it was super clean & in great shape mechanically. He said there's a little opening near the engine that you can look into."

The little opening is about 2 feet wide & you can't see diddly squat -which I told him - but he's coming anywho.......................

OY!! Put the CD into a computer CD drive and convert them to MP3 files that you store on a Network Attached Storage drive that's on your home network. Use a music program to send selected songs to a room's speakers that are either hooked up to the network via wires, WiFi or Bluetooth.

Max was standing at the back sliding glass door to the back porch barking away. THis normally means a cat, racoon or some other small varment is in the back yard. So I just opened the door saying go get 'im without looking to see what was actually out there.

Remember that demonic herd of deer I mentioned in the Chronicles thread ? Well a few members were apparently in my backyard. Max tore after them. Pretty cool to see 4 deer clear my back fence all at same time.

It was like watching synchronized jumping.................

The other two ran him ragged running in circles around the perimeter of the yard 2 or 3 times then they too went over the fence.

Max looks REALLY tired.......................


Did pretty good for a 12.5 year old dog with arthritis in his two back legs............

just uncovered the boat - ran the engine - now have 50% of the cash in form of a check - going up to deposit it to make sure it's good - rest by Wednesday

potential for snow changing to rain tonight & rain all day tomorrow - not great weather for bring in firewood so's I brought in a little extra - that & me back is bothering me - dampness? Wanna dry the place out a bit.
