A bit further south and you'll be watering and fertilizing that crabgrass, but they've given it a cute name, "Bermuda Grass"...

I don't mind the crab grass or the wire grass that grows on my property...

Long gone are the days of a "Long Island Picture Perfect Lawn". As long as it's green it has permission to grow in the yards. However - they both grow so voraciously it over grows everything. It's encroached on my driveway so much a 1/4 of the asphalt is covered.

I've got burn spots and don't care. My well driller said, "Now don't be a stupid typical suburbanite from away and go watering your lawn all the time!! You do that and you'll have salt water getting into your well and you can imagine how bad that will be."

No watering, less cutting, less chemicals. Brown is beautiful and the seagulls don't complain...

I think they call it an edger or now they use something called a weed whacker. Chebby just traded up on one. Does wonders and it’s not too heavy!?

have one of those Joseph - it's darn thick because I ignored it all summer - I'm saturating with Round Up & the next day coming back with a flat edged spade & chopping it out....
