He'd been in a Nursing Facility due to dementia for the last 4 or 6 months - situation wasn't getting any better. Didn't really recognize anyone except my Mother - recognized faces but couldn't put a name to them.

Day before Thanksgiving - the Nursing Facility couldn't wake him & as he was unresponsive they sent him to the hospital as a precaution.

All tests came up negative although he seemed to have lot of congestion. Nothing came up on chest x-rays or MRI. Nose swab showed Rhinovirus (common cold). Released him from the hospital on Sunday back to Nursing still only semi responsive. Nursing recommended Hospice yesterday at about the same time one last test came in which showed Pneumonia. Why that didn't come up in the other $100,000 worth of tests they ran I'll never know.

Died last night @ 88.

yeah - he was a good man - kids however suck - no interest in him or his health - don't call - don't visit - basically my family took care of him
