Well after having to drive to Commack late this morning to jump start my daughter’s Jeep ( her boyfriend tried) ? but hooked up cables in reverse and melted the cables he was using. Then going to buy a new battery and installing it. I’m now going to detail the Jeep in hopes of selling it.

I picked up a Noco 1000 amp lithium battery jump starter from auto zone. It's about the size of a paperback book and will jump a car when needed. It doesn't take up much room and good for piece of mind. I keep 1 in my car I got 1 for my parents and a 2000 amp one for my boat. Easier than storing jumper cables in a car.

I keep one on the boat, which is a single battery rig. I've never used it, but my neighbor has, his dual battery system failed and he called asking for a tow. I hopped in my kayak and paddled. He gave me a funny look, but I handed him my "Genius" power pack and he cranked over the motor right away. Needless to say he's "packing" too now...

About $100 -125 for the 1000 amp one. Dont remember what I paid for the 2000 amp but I think $220. Handy if you drive the beach also and have an air compressor that you clip to your battery.

Wow very lucky he didn't get hurt,I've witnessed a battery exploding once and believe me u don't want to be within a hundred feet,crazy sounds like a shot gun and the acid fills he air?

I remember years ago my sister trying to check the water levels in her car battery with a cigarette lighter, I smacked that thing out of her hand across the garage.

Got a 2000A Noco one from Amazon, for $80, never had to use it but it claims to start up to a 10L gas, & 8L diesel. Have one in my pick up & one in the boat.
