the "What are you doing NOW" thread (part deux)

is that where you're supposed to go if you've "been coughing & sneezing for the past hour"?
No,
I don’t want to get my brother sick , he’s got to much on his plate as it is. I think I only have a cold, but I’m not risking it.
Back to bed ? for me ??

about to start getting estimates on replacing our deck. I know I could have picked a better time given the price increases due to the china virus, but disintegrating HD deck lumber will not wait much longer. Any thoughts regarding composite vs. cedar? Do not wish to go spruce or pine again ! Have heard Trex and the others are slick when the least bit wet and hot as hell, enough to curl the vinyl siding on the house.

EPI!! It's a bit more costly than cedar, but holds up great, a very dense grained wood. There's an invisible connector system which is quite nice. Cedar the next best natural choice.

Can't comment on Trex in terms of temp, but I know it does get stains in it which are well-nigh impossible to remove with time in the lighter colors, which are the most "foot friendly" on hot, sunny days.

Just a heads up, in case you don't already know, but all lumber is in very short supply, with the PT lumber you'll need for your support system almost being extinct right now. Neighbors who have some dock projects planned have been told to forget it until well into the spring.

Not to mention wood prices have gone through the roof!?

heading out to the shed.......

If I'm not back in a couple of hours - notify the police!

dropping off some large trolling tubes I had in the shed at Capt13's place - maybe nice trolling for Cobia in the spring - don't know where I got them from - they were definitely too large to have trolled behind "the Minnow" (my old canoe) in the Nissequogue - maybe my father's (?)

8-)

should have brought some of my gear with me - lot of surface activity going on in the creek behind John's place.........

working on my boat trailer in the rain & watching my neighbor harvest grapes in the rain. Did I mention it’s raining. John
