peeling garlic's a PIA - was thinking of trying pre-peeled but didn't know how long it'd be good for

I usually just put a big knife flat over them and hit it. That breaks the bond with the skin. But it tends to smash them a bit.

I've also seen where you put the cloves in a colander with a plate over it and shake vigorously and it knocks the skins right off. I've never done it myself, but it would be worth trying.

Getting ready to head to Pindar for MIL's birthday. Then the wife and I are staying in Riverhead for the night because we have a fishing trip planned Monday morning. I hate the idea that I'm already out that way to drive home and then drive back.
Especially with the "open" weekend roads. IMO, Pindar started the total degradation of the North Fork, and I hate to break it to them, but their overpriced wine ain't that great...

Had the same perception until my sons band played there back in May
Found out its actually low key, laid back, reasonably priced, and super friendly
Very lenient with bringing your own food and snacks and many affordable good bottles of wine to drink 👍👍👍
There’s plenty of other over priced rip off joints but Pindar is actually not one of them
