just dropped Max off at the groomers for his birthday haircut

well now going to pick him back up - Groomer was unable to groom him - 1st time that's happened

His dementia has gotten really bad. Wanders around the house not really knowing where he is. I think sometime he doesn't immediately recognize me. I've tried to get him to come up stairs at night when he's been sleeping near me & I get a growl which will develop into a snarl if I insist on trying to rouse him.

Groomer said he wasn't growling or snarling but resisting any effort to groom him & whining. That's never happened before. Usually he loves getting groomed.
