Those roads from Edwards Ave on both the north and south side of expressway back towards manorville are both awesome rides
South side has a few state access points to the river?

Oh and did I mention they both put you in the general vicinity of the maples?

Took a quick ride around 4:30 today. Little chilly willie windy. Filled up the tank and rode local for 20 minutes or so.. Too many peeps on the local roads in Huntington...not a fan this time of day. Cold weather you can feel the difference in the grip cold tire cold pavement.

Anyhow...came back home and let the bike rest for 3-4 minutes engine off and checked the oil. Ok about two notches above "add a quart" on the dipstick. Checked again cold just now and about 1 notch above that line.

What kind of ail do you all use? HD syn 20/50? Or another brand?

I show no allegiance to brands. Whatever they use with that year either oil or synthetic. Synthetic will leak easier if you have a leak and cost two to three times more.
You’ll change three points. Engine, transmission, and primary. There easy, just look up videos for it. I buy from Harley just cause I’m tired of asking the few Auto parts stores still open “If They Have”.

I went to look at a old Vette last week. Total hunk of junk. Lady would have had to pay me to take it ?

Interior and weather stripping dissolved on this one. Valve covers leaked, engine fan wouldn’t shut off, small crack by gas cap. Suspension was tight. Not for me that project.

MTK run today. Left around 11:00. Sagtikos was a log jam had to double back to commack rd to LIE. Hit the lighthouse. Went into town had pizza and bought a sweatshirt. Ran in to some gringos and rode with them up through Sag Harbor out on Noyak Rd. To 27. Nice ride bypassed all the traffic. Sweet day.
