For just about the last half of a century I take a break from fishing for a few weeks to satisfy my other passion. I have a 44.5 acre property which borders Gilbert Lake State Park in Otsego County. Myself, Bigsal, UncleGeorge and my son Nick make up the crew. Besides the eating, endless hours of playing cards and smoking cigars, we have an awesome time in the woods with great success. This past season we harvested four bucks, an 8point,7, 4, spike and 2 doe. We pretty much get our bucks each season, not all monsters, but in 2017 I got my personal best. A heavy 13 pointer. Large for my area. Ill post pics of some bucks from the last 2 seasons. I don't hunt locally on Long Island but there are some serious critters running around here.
