Ward Melville HS Fishing Expo and Fundraiser

Hello All, great show, great speakers, great food too at Rolling Smoke and The Mexican Truck. All around great stuff with free admission and parking. Glad I went. First timer.

My first time there as well. Enjoyed meeting George, Propeller John, Crabby and Anthony at the table. Just realized I was supposed to find BoatGuy- my apologies. Attended John Skinner and Capt John Paduano's seminars as I want to go much lighter fluke fishing the back bay than I have been.
They were both excellent as speakers, and as usual, informative.

My first time too. Great meeting up and chatting with George, Pequa1, Hookem, Eyeglassjoe, and either Boatguy or Movetheboat? not sure. Sorry my butt is dragging about now. Sleepy. Driving from the city 50 miles east on the LIE at 6AM in that snow this morning for 2 hours at greatly reduced speeds beat me up Then attending 3 fluke seminars in a row. And walking, walking and more walking to all the tables until a little after 3PM . I managed to stay in my budget buying a ton of 6 inch GULP! Pink Shine
Grubs at a show special price. Those of you who use it may recall some time in late August/early September last year everyone , every where ran out of them. Berkley ran out at the factory! Online, out of state, Dicks, Cabelas, u name it nada, zilch ,zero. I want to be stocked for 2019. I was impressed with Capt . John Paduano's knowledge and presentation on light tackle bucktailing for fluke . His snap jigging technique with his custom tied bucktails was a revelation. He ties his own lightweight bucktails with feathers.Beautiful. I stopped at his vendor table and bought a selection of 3/8 to 5/8ths in gorgeous spearing and bay anchovy patterns. Hope to post good reports on these in the future when fluke season opens. Gosh, 2 more months seems like an eternity. Had a wonderful day.(y)(y). CIAO, John

Glad I made it today! Me and my son got there about 10:30 and instantly found Flukinit and met Capt mike and ran into many others we know to list everybody. Highlights were talking to Capt mike checking out fish guy Chris then Capt brad from someday came
And kilsong.

Yeah, I did the big turnaround before the tennis courts and went back out to the gospel church parking lot. needed four wheel drive in there, but the bus came two minutes later at 9:50. Door to door service and I caught it going back as well.

Enjoyed the show. Agreed parking was a problem, snow was a factor. Maybe a Sat-Sun show next year. Would help with the parking having the show over two days. This was my first year attending. Saturdays are generally a work day for me. Two days would give people more chance to attend.

Yes i was surprised it was only one day

Not out in front of it either ? Whenever i stopped by george or anthony or jenna was there.
Where was the table? I walked the main hall twice from south entrance to the gym and back, up the 2 side hallways looking for the table and didn't see it:unsure::oops::rolleyes:
