With high tide at 11, I had nary a hit from 730 to 9 this morning, and then the weaks started in, all 16-17". all on pink and white gulp, teasers
or the bottom buck. I have definitely found a pattern in my neck of the woods, with almost all the weaks I have caught this season coming at slack or an hour before it.
Threw back a 14" fluke too. Had to use the drift sock which allowed a very slow drift WITH the wind which was maybe 6 or 7 kts, and AGAINST the current which
I thought would be stronger due to the full moon. Didn't text SWMBO about fresh fish for dinner and she took out a bluefish to defrost. Oh well.
Home by 1030 with "future" dinner and watched the "boat parade" heading out from 9am on. Might use my boat again next week, but being retired, NEVER on a weekend.
