we had some storm here last nite,, down pours..., thunder... and alot of lightening..., the poor back yard sun flowers...some came down... the really tall ones fell over..that because the sun flowers are in rich dark black gold soil... the soil is so soft..... mojoe is back there sweating his ass off stringing them up to the fence..............

Huh. Granted after I cleaned the fish and jumped in the pool I really just did some light pool maint. and watered the flowers, same as yesterday. Maybe its because I came home an hour earlier today. They dropped to a heat advisory tomorrow Friday from today's excessive heat warning today, even though today was 88 and tomorrow to be 90. Guess its the humidity.

Highest Dew Point EVER in Portland today, 78°!! Had to move the boat from the Community Dock to mine @ 10:00 and thought I was going to die. Spent the entire day in the house with the Central A/C running, which the local contractor originally argued with us about installing, "You don't need A/C in Maine!!".

His company has been spending the past 4 summers installing central A/C in all the houses that "didn't need it"...

I have thought for years that the actual seasons (forget about when to stand an egg on its end) are off by three or four weeks, lol. For me, summer starts when I open the pool in mid to late May and start swimming, and ends when I close the pool in late September. This coincides with my warm weather kayak fishing as well.
