Weather

Regarding the big coastal storm, timing of the phasing remains as the Euro and many of its ensembles have a faster northern stream piece that phases much later and remains weaker. If this occurs, the timing of the rain up here would be later and the higher totals would be farther east. Also, the strong winds wouldn't be quite as intense. Just something to keep in mind. There are still going to be very high rainfall totals and gusty winds for the SOUTHEAST coast also with rainfall amounts greater than 5 inches. For the northeast, the strong pressure gradient will still create a long-duration onshore flow with moderate to locally major coastal flooding. There are also High Wind Watches for Long Island and at least the NJ coast from what I saw with gusts as high as 60 mph being possible. The strongest winds will remain just offshore, south of Long Island, with gusts near 70 mph being possible there. The rain will last into Tuesday for coastal areas as the storm weakens and heads east. At the end of next week,
