hey - two years ago we got hit with 50+ mph winds & it blew a tractor traiker off of the bridge - USN helicopter was passing over head - saw the driver on the roof of the cab & lower a rope to him & pulled him out - he ended up dying from hypothermia as he was in the water fior awhile in January before being able to get out of the cab & up on the roof

Until you drive on it - you have NO idea out in the open you are. There's nothing to block the wind for 20 or 30 miles in any direction,.

At least once a year someone ends up over the side.

DRIVER ERROR HENCE THE PIC

DRIVER ERROR HENCE THE PIC
the wind took it over the side by bloswing his trailer over sending him out of control - how was that the driver's fault? A professional driver who am pretty sure surpasses any skills you may possess & probably wasn't necessarily southern

I've ended up in another lane once or twice due to wind

Thanks you just proved my point............... And you knew the driver and he was a professional? But I do know how to drive in high winds car/truck or motorcycle You should just stay home tomorrow its safer for you and the other drivers on the road Ya know you could get blown into another lane (its happened before) and send a tractor trailer into the drink

Better pack one of these. Better yet, mount a big one on your car's roof with the pull chord in the cab so you can inflate it when you take go over the side...
