Pretty wild. Heavy rain was pounding the west side windows. Now changed and hitting the south facing windows. Need the rain. But not the flooding.

The only flooding my part of Matzohpizza could get would be from Nor'Easters and tropical storms. I am at 14' above sea level and through my 72 years, all but four of which in the 'pequas", bay waters have yet to cross Merrick road (27a) at THIS location. The gradient and runoff flows toward the bay through storm drains and such. I am just two blocks north of 27a.
That said, so far we have gotten 1 1/4" of the wet stuff, and radar shows we could still get some what looks to be lighter rain later. Finally won't have to water the potted flowers for a couple of days ! And the zoysia should green up again as well. Thunderstorms passed between 6 and 8am but we were on the fringe as I believe the real impact was ocean shore. My beach balls didn't even blow out of the pool.
and General I will be siphoning my truck bed and switching jugs for the AC hose, lol. Kayak fishing tomorrow !
