WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.. until midnight for Nassau County and 4am for Suffolk County.
Periods of snow today with a Wintry Mix to Rain at times. Be alert for wet slick roads. The snow totals will be spread over many hours. Snow will melt and compact through the day. Highest accumulation will be on grassy and colder surfaces.
As of 815am we have some minor accumulation, the steady moderate snow timing will be towards this evening. most totals will be 2 to 4 with a few areas 5 to 6. Best chance for 6 inches will be North Shore Suffolk county.
