Just passed the final section of the OUPV test (6 pack). Going to start on my masters next week. Then I just need to file my paperwork with the USCG and I’m good to go.

Anyone looking to get there license please let me know. I have some advice lol.

Thanks everyone! I’m most likely going to work for some friends in the area. Maybe eventually my own thing. Thinking about doing some deliveries and private captain gigs also.

Keep in mind that your "dream job" of working for DEC Marine could prohibit what you just worked for and earned. If they are like the federal agency that I worked for, it would probably be construed as a conflict of interest. Besides, working for "gubmint", any government, isn't quite what it used to be.
