In the early 70's I used to trailer my 16' Starcraft skiff out to Montauk and on real calm days fish the midway rips halfway to Block. I saw whales swimming near me several times during those trips but thankfully none ever actually breached.
If I had seen that video back, then I probably would have never left Lake Montauk!!!
This was bound to happen as whales started concentrating on bunker in northern MA, NH & Southern Maine restricted waters, while folks started live-lining bunker for bass in those areas.
