Justices to Decide Whether Trump Is Eligible for Colorado Ballot

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled last month that the former president could not appear on the state’s Republican primary ballot because he had engaged in insurrection.

The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to decide whether former President Donald J. Trump is ineligible for Colorado’s Republican primary ballot because he had engaged in insurrection in his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

The case, which could alter the course of this year’s presidential election, will be argued on Feb. 8. The court will probably decide it quickly, as the primary season will soon be underway.

Mr. Trump asked the Supreme Court to intervene after Colorado’s top court disqualified him from the ballot last month. That decision is on hold while the justices consider the matter.

The case turns on the meaning of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, ratified after the Civil War, which bars those who had taken an oath “to support the Constitution of the United States” from holding office if they then “shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”

So is Trump actually off the ballot in those states?

Nope. Though the rulings were both momentous, there’s a decent chance neither of them will have any impact on the actual presidential race.

The judges in Colorado and the Maine secretary of state both agreed to pause the effect of their ruling while other courts consider the matter. This means it’s likely Trump will ultimately appear on the presidential primary ballot in both states — and that if the Supreme Court intervenes and overturns these decisions, he’ll appear on the general election ballot as well.

Trump hasn’t been found guilty criminally of insurrection in a court.

Hasn't even been charged. No one has, IIRC.

"Wind turbines have lightning protection systems that channel electrical energy safely into the ground. Even so, lightning damage costs the industry more than $100 million a year and accounts for 60% of blade losses," authors of the report wrote.

Team USA was fantastic the entire tournament. It was the third time that Team USA went undefeated at the World Juniors. So there was plenty of reason to celebrate.

And celebrate they did. They showed the USWNT how it’s done and belted out the “Star-Spangled Banner” loud and proud.

Note the distinct lack of Megan Rapinoe-esque sour looks on their faces. Nope. That’s a group of guys who are proud to wear “USA” across their chests. You love to see it.

Congratulations, fellas!

Now, everyone, say it with me: USA! USA! USA..

Good to see there truly is some segment of our youth not indoctrinated by the sick left. Breath of fresh air.

It’s embarrassing to the world….to let people think a group as large as a wedding party can overthrow our governmen, is that all it takes…a few groups of people in several strategic positions can walk into those positions unarmed and take over the US.

Russia Russia Russia was an embarrassment as well.
