Whats going on in the World

"Thank you to the Illinois State Board of Elections for ruling 8-0 in protecting the Citizens of our Country from the Radical Left Lunatics who are trying to destroy it," Trump posted on Truth Social after the vote. "The VOTE was 8-0 in favor of keeping your favorite President (ME!), on the Ballot. I love Illinois. Make America Great Again!"

Let's begin with Michael Benz, a former Trump admin State Department official whose work has been cited in congressional hearings, posted on X a video from 2019 featuring the Pentagon's psychological operations research arm that pitched the idea of turning Taylor into an asset to combat "disinformation."

Watch the incredible moment that a rep from the Pentagon's psychological operations research firm pitched NATO's military psyops center on turning Taylor Swift into an asset for the Western military alliance to stop "disinformation" on the Internet. https://t.co/BYIordpx18 pic.twitter.com/ThXhnjiFMD

We're not alone. Fox News' Jesse Watters also asked: "Why is Taylor Swift Everywhere?"

During a NATO meeting, the idea for Taylor Swift to be used as a PSYOP for the Pentagon was brought up. It looks like they decided to go this route. She BLEW UP out of nowhere, and has been plastered EVERYWHERE.

I SAID IT FROM THE BEGINNING…

Looks like this may happen. Interesting. Obviously would love to read it.

Interesting as this was not addressed -

Meanwhile, moderates, specifically from the suburbs outside of major cities like New York City and Los Angeles, were frustrated the bill does not touch state and local tax (SALT) deduction caps. They have argued it is a critical issue for their swing district constituents and could make or break House Republicans’ chances of holding onto their razor-thin majority in November.

I constantly get a kick out of the SALT as the AMT would come back to life. Folks forget about this tax. You have to remember, a VERY large part of the population DOES not pay 15-20K in real estate taxes. Those folks actually took advantage of the standard deduction which increased under that law, effectively giving many a deduction HIGHER than cash outlay. It all depends on the administration in power! ;)

A group of four New York Republicans threatened to tank a procedural vote for an unrelated GOP-led measure over the SALT exclusion, but two sources told Fox News Digital that they later secured a commitment from Johnson to bring a separate, targeted SALT bill to the floor at some point soon. - We shall see if this happens. What a mess if it does.
The reason I say a mess, is what happens to the PTET program??

I tried to post the link and did no work overly well. NYS Department of Taxation and Finance

Pass-through entity tax (PTET)

The PTET is an optional tax that partnerships or New York S corporations may annually elect to pay on certain income for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2021.
If an eligible partnership or eligible New York S corporation (electing entity) elects to pay the PTET, its partners, members, or shareholders subject to tax under Article 22 (personal income tax) may be eligible for a PTET credit on their New York State income tax returns.
The tax is imposed under Tax Law Article 24-A, which was enacted in 2021.

Took NYS long enough to put this in play for pass thru entities to allow deductions at a corporate level, while letting the reduced income number and credit flow to the individual. This has been advantageous for small businesses to circumvent the SALT cap on their personal returns. Restructuring of income streams using pass thru entities, has provided a lovely deduction.

Pennsylvania man arrested after allegedly killing his father and displaying his decapitated head on YouTube

In the video, which has since been removed, Justin Mohn says his father was a federal employee and refers to him as a traitor while voicing right-wing conspiracy theories.

A Pennsylvania man has been arrested after allegedly killing his father, before displaying his decapitated head in a gruesome YouTube video while spouting right-wing conspiracy theories.

Justin Mohn, 32, is accused of killing his father, Michael Mohn, police told NBC News. While police did not release the victim’s age, public records show him to be 68.

Mohn was taken into custody about 100 miles away from the crime scene on suspicion of first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and possessing an instrument of crime with intent, according to a court docket released early Wednesday.

He was arraigned at 4 a.m. and denied bail, Middletown Township Police Capt. Pete Feeney said.

In the YouTube video, which was titled "Mohn's Militia - Call To Arms For American Patriots" and is cited in a police complaint, Mohn is seen wearing gloves and holding his father's head in a plastic bag. Later, the head can be seen in a cooking pot.

Mohn says his father was a federal employee for 20 years and refers to him as a traitor, calling for the death of all federal officials and attacking President Joe Biden's administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community and antifa activists. YouTube removed the video, which is more than 14 minutes long, hours after it was posted.

That makes him right wing? Besides killing his old man, seems pretty on the level.

Totally disagree [The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.] Nothing has changed in last couple thousand years.

The original law was partially paid for by the so-called SALT deduction cap, which limits the amount of state and local taxes that Americans can deduct from their federal taxes to $10,000. That cap is also poised to end in 2025. It should be noted on a higher income, it generated additional taxes, as higher income folks generally have 2 or more properties and pay much higher state taxes based on that income. It all depended on where you live. Live in a blue state with outlandish real estate taxes, out of control spending, and a state income tax, those folks feel it. Live in a state with modest real estate taxes, controlled spending, no state income taxes and you received a tax break. I will say it again, don't blame the federal government for that one, blame you local representatives who are in your pocket. Very easy to understand.

However, the SALT cap as a revenue generator has lost some potency since 2017, thanks to fresh workarounds.

I spoke about this yesterday. See above.
