It’s a tough situation. We left behind the way to track all when a phone is turned on “Turned On”. Some on here think that’s something off the X-files but that’s true life. It’s how we monitored them. All that left the country are not from outside Kabul. Stay in place was orders from CIC. Still no kids from California back. GOP Rep. Michael McCaul says 6 planes with Americans on board are stuck at an Afghan airport in a 'hostage situation' with the Taliban
He said the planes had been ready to depart for days but the Taliban wouldn't let them leave until they received recognition from the US government.
“In fact we have six airplanes at Mazar-i-Sharif airport, six airplanes, with American citizens on them as I speak, also with these interpreters, and the Taliban is holding them hostage for demands right now,” McCaul, the top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told Fox News’ Chris Wallace.

- Rep. Michael McCaul said the planes had been held for days at the Mazar-i-Sharif airport in northern Afghanistan.
- “We know the reason why is because the Taliban want something in exchange,” he told Fox News.
“State has cleared these flights and the Taliban will not let them leave the airport,” he added.
