The San Francisco-based (hint) company announced Wednesday it’s ceasing operations and liquidating the beloved business “following a combination of challenging economic factors and declining sales since 2016 - Interesting year. The curtain pulled back and finally able to "see" what was going on.

Another problem has been Sapporo, the Japanese beer company that bought the brand in 2017. Employees complained to VinePair last month about Sapporo’s alleged mismanagement and lack of understanding of craft beer in the US. In addition, a 2021 rebrand of Anchor was also criticized for pivoting too far away from the brand’s classic look.

Poor management, poor marketing, and basically not listening to the consumer. So it does have something to do with your beer of choice! :D

Russia is sending 'disposable' soldiers to fight Ukraine high on amphetamines to ensure they 'still run at machine guns,' military expert says

  • Russian soldiers are going into battle high on drugs, according to a recent report.
  • A military expert said the practice is common in warfare.
  • "This is what some institutions do to make sure their soldiers still run at machine guns," Mick Ryan said.
Russia has taken to chemically lowering its soldiers' inhibitions to guarantee these ill-trained civilians and convicts continue to fight no matter the odds in the ongoing war in Ukraine, according to a UK defense think tank.

The Royal United Service Institute published a May report examining how Russia's military tactics have evolved in the second year of conflict, citing Ukrainian military personnel who said the Russian soldiers they encounter often appear to be "under the influence of amphetamines or other narcotic substances"
