These pardons are the dawn of a new age of lawlessness in America and this is what MAGA voted for. Don't ever let them lecture you about law and order ever again. They are the party of felons and of assaulting police officers.
 

Convicted US Capitol rioter turns down Trump pardon​



One of the people who served jail time for taking part in the US Capitol riot four years ago has refused a pardon from President Donald Trump, saying: "We were wrong that day."
Pamela Hemphill, who pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 60 days in prison, told the BBC that there should be no pardons for the riot on 6 January 2021.
"Accepting a pardon would only insult the Capitol police officers, rule of law and, of course, our nation," she said.
"I pleaded guilty because I was guilty, and accepting a pardon also would serve to contribute to their gaslighting and false narrative."


Hemphill, who was nicknamed the "Maga granny" by social media users - in reference to Trump's "make America great again" slogan - said she saw the Trump government as trying to "rewrite history and I don't want to be part of that".

"We were wrong that day, we broke the law - there should be no pardons," she told the BBC World Service's Newsday programme.
Trump's decision to pardon or commute the sentences of nearly 1,600 people involved in the attempt to violently overturn the 2020 election came just hours into his presidency.
In a news conference on Tuesday at the White House, he said: "These people have already served years in prison, and they've served them viciously.
"It's a disgusting prison. It's been horrible. It's inhumane. It's been a terrible, terrible thing."
However, the move has drawn an uneasy reaction from some Republican politicians.
Senator Thom Tillis, from North Carolina, said he "just can't agree" with the move, adding that it "raises legitimate safety issues on Capitol Hill".
Another Republican US senator, James Lankford from Oklahoma, told CNN: "I think we need to continue to say we are a party of law and order."
He added: "I think if you attack a police officer, that's a very serious issue and they should pay a price for that."

Also among those pardoned was one of the riot's most recognisable figures, Jacob Chansley, the self-styled QAnon Shaman, who was released from jail in 2023 after serving 27 months of his 41-month jail sentence.

He told the BBC that he heard the news from his lawyer while he was at the gym.

He added: "I walked outside and I screamed 'freedom' at the top of my lungs and then gave a good Native American war cry."

Trump announced his anti-trans order on his first day in office. Specifically, the order defines a female as a “a person belonging, at conception to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell,” while a male is a “person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell.”

The president also laid out the policy in his inaugural address on Monday.

“As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female,” he declared.

But critics pointed out that genitalia at conception are “phenotypically female,” according to the National Library of Medicine.

For the first several weeks after conception, all human embryos follow a “female” developmental blueprint until the activation of the SRY gene initiates sexual differentiation. Embryos with an XY genotype will begin developing male traits linked to the Y chromosome at roughly six weeks. Before then, human embryos have only developed female traits linked to the X chromosome. One social media critic scoffed that the order was “written by morons.”

McBride laughed off the distinction between “reproductive cells” during Tuesday evening votes in the House of Representatives.

“Well, it appears that he just declared everyone a woman from conception based on the language of the executive order,” she told The Independent.

Saw a headline today that he may invoted them to the White House.

What a hypocrite.

We've got a convicted felon as President who is freeing other felons & he tries to pass himself off as a law & order kinda guy.

Officer Sicknick was responding to the riots on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol and was injured while physically engaging with protesters. He returned to his division office and collapsed. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.Jan 7, 2021

CNN anchor Pamela Brown reacted with shock when former DC metropolitan police officer Michael Fanone dropped an f-bomb live on air.

Fanone joined CNN for an interview on Wednesday morning reacting to reports that President Donald Trump may invite rioters who he pardoned for January 6th to the White House. The former DC police officer helped protect the Capitol back in 2021 and has been critical of Trump and the rioters.

Among those pardoned by Trump was Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes who told the press he had no regrets from the January 6th riot, claiming he was there to protect Trump supporters from Antifa and “secure permitted events on Capitol grounds.”

When Brown asked for Fanone’s response to Rhodes, he dropped an f-bomb that the network was not able to censor.

BROWN: He says he has no regrets. What do you say, Michael?

FANONE: Yeah. I mean, this is what I say to Stewart Rhodes: Go fuck yourself!

BROWN: Okay!

FANONE: You’re a liar!

BROWN: We didn’t obviously get to bleep that word out, but obviously you — this is personal to you, Michael. This is very personal to you. Have you been getting any any threats? You talked about safety. You are worried for your safety for your family. Have you been getting any direct threats?

FANONE: I never stopped getting threats. I mean, my family, the threats have never stopped. I didn’t even make it through my congressional testimony during the select committee hearing before I received my first threat.

BROWN: And they just continue?

FANONE: In recent months. You know, my mother has had her home swatted. She’s a 76 year old woman who lives alone. She has had bricks thrown at her house in the middle of the night. And just a few months ago, she was out raking the leaves in her front yard when an individual pulled up in a truck and threw a bag of shit on them.


BROWN: Wow.

FANONE: All because her son had the courage to testify about his experiences on January 6th as a police officer in this country
