POLITICO spoke to 14 conference attendees at the forum, several of whom were granted anonymity to discuss their reactions to Vance’s speech candidly. Many reacted with a mixture of shock and anger.

From inside an overflow room — the main conference hall was jam-packed — attendees laughed sardonically when Vance mentioned “shared values.” Not once, but twice, people in the room said “that was some weird shit” — quoting George W. Bush’s reaction to Trump’s first inauguration speech in 2017.

That went for the professional diplomats, too. “This is all so insane and worrying,” said a German official.

“I was aghast,” said a former House Democratic staffer attending the conference. “It’s not Russia influencing your elections, you are? He was blaming the victim.”

They are getting a taste of the insanity we hear daily....

Yesterday, Earl “Buddy” Carter’s (R-Ga) introduced a two-page bill titled “Red, White, and Blueland Act of 2025.’

When someone shared it with me, I thought it was a meme—but it is indeed real.

The purpose of the bill? To enable President Trump’s efforts to purchase Greenland and rename it “Red, White and Blueland,” furthering his desire to continue building America’s brand in new areas.

The bill would require the U.S. Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) to update the name of Greenland for users who access official maps and documents in the United States of America.

Vance said it plain as day and called them out. Europe is in a shit hell hole due to the power that Brussels wields over the "Union".

See the text of his speech and it's no wonder why "14 anonymous sources" are so upset...they can't admit how their screwed-up fiscal and political policies have destroyed once great and proud sovereign nations.

Well it would have to go through the U.S. Geographic Names Information System if they closed this deal. Why would it not be appropriate to change the name if the US acquires the property?

Sounds like they are doing it by the book.
