Sheesh, Costco specials this week. I bought 3 large frozen octopi back in December. Too bad I was too stupid to realize that they would only be seasonal for us folk of Italian descent. Next year I'll buy a good dozen or so. My mother and grandmother always said what a pain cooking polpo was. Turns out it's easy as crap as long as you boil the crap out of it for a good 90 minutes until a fork easily passes through the thickest part of the biggest tentacle.

Well now that this mystery has been solved, I've got license to cook, and today we had charred octopus in lemon juice, garlic, olive oil w/red pepper, along a simple salad with a prepared honey lemon mustard dressing. Come next December I'm filling the freezer!!
