Finally getting over the bug that's been going around and I can eat again.

Decided not to use the clams and keep it lighter. These shrimp were fantastic sauteed up in toasted sesame oil. Also, a really good dose of pepper flakes and spicy peppers to kill the rest of the germs.

My old hangout was sold and resurfaced as a Gastro Pub, won’t hang there because I prefer simpler Irish Pubs in Astoria. However they have a Friday lunch special for $15 which includes a House Pint and five food selections. I chose the Smash Burger; really good.

Panic. All dressed up and nowhere to go. Began heating my smoker and prepped the ribs. Went out to put them on and the smoker was dead. Tried resetting, a new extension cord, different outlet and nothing. Bummer. Went online to see any reset tricks and nothing. Looked down and the power cord that plugs into the control box was sitting on the floor. What a relief. Just plugged it in and I was off to the race. FWI, to the Traeger 575 owners. As you probably know, the Traeger has a power cord that plugs in underneath the pellet bin. It's just hanging there and very easy to step on. I did that and it fell out of the receptacle. No power, no cook. During a cook, that would be bad.
