There are no bagel shops so you're left with Supermarket bagels which all know don't really resemble bagels at all. However........
There is the "Market Lady". Being from LI she knows how to do bagels the proper way - kettle them first. While not exactly a NY bagel - they are damn close & hold me over until I visit NY or someone from NY visits me & stock up.

Brothers all have standing orders to bring 'em down when they come.
