Well the plan was Linguine and Clam Sauce (Luigi Vitelli). Water boiling, opened the can and the lid looked ‘off’. Scraped off the price sticker from the top which was conveniently placed over the ‘use by’ date which was 12/18 and which was bought only recently. Everything into the toilet.
Next time it’s fresh clams from the mud flats off the East River in Astoria Park.
