So how did the brisket come out?
I have a friend out west that does them all the time.
Every time I look at nice pieces in BJ's I get squeamish spending $30-$50 to experiment with it in the smoker... LOL

my daughters boyfriend brought his smoker. I have never used one , so I left him in charge. The two racks of ribs came out incredible. See pics.
Unfortunately the $40 brisket was overcooked into leather.
But I’m going to make one again this coming weekend by myself ??

Dang, the ribs look great!!
Hopefully you learned what not to do with the brisket watching him....:p
That's why i never pulled the trigger on the brisket
I'm gonna call my buddy and pick his brain a bit and I'll let you know what i find out.
One thing I do know that he does is wrap it in parchment paper when it comes off and then put it ina cooler or something to steam in it itself and stay juicy but I'm fuzzy on the specific details

Growing up my father always taught me and my brother to throw all females back
I know a few years back we had a crab discussion thread going either here or on NE on how often a female spawns and when its Ok to take them but I still keep males only when crabbing(y)(y)
