The Muse was upon me at lunch today. Been reading for years about the ethereal delights of Oyster Stew. Was scrounging in the garage fridge and realized there was some heavy cream in there close to being past it's sell date, and looked down at a bucket of oysters and started thinking, "All those recipes over the years seemed so boring, but WTF?" Brought in 1/2 dozen oysters and the cream into the kitchen and started looking up stew recipes. Came upon on that was more than just butter, cream and oysters, in that it suggested also using onions, garlic, parsley, red pepper and paprika, all items I had handy

Hmm, that seemed interesting, substituted shallot for onion and used smoked paprika. A very quick and satisfying lunch was had. The annotated recipe made it to the "Approved" file...
