Whats on tonights Menu

Better half is slow cooking a few hunks of some dead pig to make pulled pork samwiches later. Our "rent a dog" will partake as well. (Copper's mama is recovering from surgery and as his usual part-time caretakers he is again "vacationing" at our house.)

"rent-a-dog"?
We don't have our own dog but our friend got Copper seven years ago and would go on vacations with her son's family and leave Copper with us. The "morkie" craves attention and up to the second week has us thinking about a dog. More recently our friend has had some medical issues so we take Copper (he has some copper coloring but his would have been daddy did two tours as an MP in 'Nam and then 20 plus as an NYPD detective, hence the name.) That second and third week cures us, lol. Plus we go on vacations ourselves. We tell everyone he's our rent-a-dog. Loves our barbecued venison, air fried chicken, etc.

I don’t know yet as I’m going to a barbecue but I know one thing for sure I’m bringing 300 clams so I know they’ll be on the menu
