Ahhh, will either DVR it or catch it when its on again. Snoozeday's review wasn't that great, and I thought Kerri Russell stole the show from Rhys on "The Americans" night after night anyway <grin>

Sunday night. "Airplane" on Sundance, 'Yellowstone" on Paramount, "Penny Dreadful" finale on showtime, "High Time" on Starz, "Perry Mason" on HBO

Carriers on Showtime, 2009 movie with Chris Pine and Piper Perabo about 4 kids trying to survive a pandemic

Watched the new version of "Midway" last night. The Enterprise's solo raid prior to the Coral Sea. Never knew about that ! A US submarine in the middle of the Jap fleet off Midway. Vaguely remember the part about the Jap destroyer that dropped back for the sub and then raced to catch up to the fleet and was followed by the dive bombers. Dive bombers attacking wing to wing and broadside to the enemy ? ships in the fleets less than three ship lengths between them? Nice visuals I suppose. CGI was exceptional and I liked that the models or cg of the ships actually resembled early WW2 versions. the acting ? Well, for you young guys its tough to compare this newbie crew to Glenn Ford, Charlton Heston, Hal Holbrook, Henry Fonda, Robert Mitchum, James Colburn, Robert Wagner, Cliff Robertson, Glenn Corbett, Tom Selleck, Toshiro Mifuni, James Shigata, Dabney Coleman, Monte Markham, Edward Albert, etc., etc.
At least it didn't have 1911s firing a dozen rounds without swapping mags, hand grenades exploding with ten foot high flames, and my favorite, guys pulling the pins out with their teeth without pressing the cotter pin together first.

if its Nicolas Cage it just has to be good, lol. although I did like him in that movie with the C-130, convicts, Steve Buscemi and the ones where he seeks out "National Treasures"
