with the forecast upcoming I wanted to get another paddle in. caught two bait size snappers and 30 minutes later waited too long as the clicker went nuts and then silence. Oh well, put on the other one. Still a lot of annoying weed but fishable. Wind and early incoming current same direction. Suddenly saw a dorsal fine 15 yards away. A solitary dorsal fin in what, IIRC, is 15' of water. (no rudder, no pedals and no electronics for me !) I started to go for my iphone and wouldn't you know it, this 20" fluke hit my snapper. Decided to leave, discretion being the better part of valor, although I did think about catching another snapper. Then I realized if yesteday's "monster" that took me and the yak for a bit of a ride was actually a shark, better to let the shark catch his own fluke. This dorsal fin was perfectly triangular, between 10 and 12" high and very dark if not black. And thank you Hunter704 for letting the 19 1/4" go to grow another 3/4" LOL.
