"Windy" app ( ? )

In the late summer I rely on wind forecasting the most since I will have a killie troll over the starboard side and hopefully a weak or fluke on a stringer to port. This negates my ability to put out a drift sock like in the late spring and still fish off the yak whether I am livelining a snapper or resorting to jigging a Gulped buck and teaser.
Lately, the Windy app, especially on the desktop, must be forecasting and posting indoor wind velocities ! It fooled me yesterday when I got blown all over. Sure enough, once I was sheltered enough on the way back, I checked the weather channel, accuweather, windfinder and even NWS and all would have "steered" me right. I noticed at 6am today that "Windy" again had 2-3 kt.winds forecasted through 11AM here but the others had double and triple that. I decided to do some gardening today and now a good S or SW breeze has already come up at 9am. Definitely more than 2 or 3. Anyone else noticing this. Being retired for over 15 years, putting an outing off is easy, but what happened to my once "go-to" app !?

I use Windy and Windfinder. I notice a big difference in the 2. Couple trips i thought would be cancelled due to wind and the trip happened with none of the mentioned knots

it does seem like the MSM and many weather forecasts and forecasters treat the wind like it is an afterthought. What do sailors and cropdusters use ?
